Machine applied mortars

Maximal®

Cement – lime internal machine applied mortar

Properties and use:

Maximal® is the ready made cement-lime mortar, intended for mechanical and hand plastering of internal walls. It can be used for all types of walls made of bricks, gas concrete elements, concrete and natural stone.

Working with the mortar:

The mortar is to be applied by a machine and immediately upon that roughly screeded by an aluminum »H« screed rail. When partially dry the surplus material should be removed and the mortar ‘’opened’’ by an aluminum »T« screed rail or scraper. Upon this ‘’opening’’ the surface remains rough and must be water wetted and floated to get its fine final appearance. Minimal mortar layer thickness is 1.5 cm. For uneven surfaces where it is necessary to apply a thicker layer of mortar, the mortar should be applied repeatedly with pauses but before the previous layer is set. The strong absorbing plaster bases must be prepared i.e. they should be primed by the cement sprayer or Maxikril® - Hidrosol base. For poorly absorbing and smooth plaster bases the Rologrund® base should be used according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Working temperature:

Optimal working temperature is from +5°C to +25°C, the air and the surface for mortar applying must be in this temperature range.

Consumption:

Approximately 14 kg/m² for 10 mm thickness on even surfaces. Brick walls have deep and wide joints which should be rejointed prior to plastering.

Expiry date:

6 months on pallets in unopened, undamaged original packaging, stored in a dry place.

Bulk density: 1.34 kg/l
Fresh mortar density: 1.68 kg/l
